Creative talent:
I have been dancing since the age of 8 and my main style of dance is Hip-Hop/Urban, and since the start of this year I have been modelling for a clothing brand.
What do you love most about it?
I now have a second family and lifelong friends. I love everything to do with dance and not just “hip-hop” but ALL styles. I love how there are no restrictions, and you can create anything you want and performing in front of small or big crowds. Through dance, I've been lucky enough to have travelled around the world to places I thought I’d never go, connected with people from different countries that I now call my friends and are a part of my family. For that I am so grateful.
I constantly stay inspired and motivated in this passion of mine, simply because of all the talented people I get to surround myself with every day.
Modelling is still very new and fresh to me, but I absolutely love it. I started modelling because I was in a place where I had Iost a lot of self-confidence and taking on this new adventure helped me get it back. AND I do love being in front of the camera (I mean I always have ).
How would you describe your fashion style?
I don’t really have a set style, BUT how I dress determines how I feel on the day. I will and can wear anything as long as it makes me feel good, confident but most of all comfortable. I have one fashion style in particular that I love and it’s a mix between urban/streetwear mixed with elegant/feminine. I love how much you can play with this style, and it definitely represents my personality to a T...
Career highlight:
I have had many, but my first ever career highlight would’ve been in 2013 when I found out I was going to Las Vegas with my dance crew. Keeping in mind I was a 12-year-old and only travelled to and from New Zealand and Australia. Excited would’ve been an understatement. It was really my first ever international travelling experience, all because I danced and I will always cherish those memories. The best part of the trip was that I got to take my best friend with me (my mumma), she just paid for our trip. :)
Is there a particular place or person that inspires you?
I don’t have one particular person that inspires me because I’m inspired constantly and everyday by different people of all ages and all walks of life. These people have taken part in how I choose to live my life and have also inspired my dancing, fashion, fitness, beauty but most importantly my values, beliefs, and who I am as a person. And I’m always making sure I’m constantly learning and trying to improve anywhere and in every way I can.
Best piece of advice you have ever had?
“Treat people how you would like to be treated” - I would like to think that I do this nearly every day, no matter who the person is, my mood or theirs. I will always treat people with kindness and a smile.
